Today news broke that the Winnipeg Jets will be sending one of their top goalies to represent their country on the international stage.

Jets Goalie To Represent Canada At Spengler Cup

The Winnipeg Jets announced today that goaltender Thomas Milic will be heading out to represent Canada at the Spengler Cup.

Milic is one of the Jets' top prospects in goal and will be able to use this unique experience to grow his game. This will be Milan's second time representing Canada on an international stage after playing last year at the World Junior Championships.

The Spengler Cup will be a nice change of pace for Milic who is in his first professional hockey season.

Milic similarly to many young goaltending prospects has spent his year between the AHL and ECHL. At the ECHL level, Milic has performed quite well and shown some good potential.

The 20-year-old will once again look to use the international spotlight to show his NHL potential. If he performs well he could parlay the Spengler Cup into a call-up back to the AHL.
