The Oilers are doing everything in their power to try and turn the season around this year, however, they continue to struggle between the pipes. As Jack Campbell continues to struggle in the AHL, all the weight has been placed on Stuart Skinner.

However, Skinner's play has raised some questions about how much the Oilers need backup goaltending.



Clearly, the Oilers struggled all over the ice on Tuesday, however, Skinner's stats are concerning, especially since the Oilers don't have a viable number 2.

Campbell Signing Continuing to Hurt Oilers

Ken Holland's signing of Jack Campbell continues to hurt the Oilers, as his $5 million salary is a major constraint in the Oilers plans to try and acquire a backup goaltender.


Holland, who isn't set to return as GM next season, still has a lot of work cut out for him in his remaining time as GM.
