Maple Leafs forward Auston Matthews, known for his style, drew attention with his bold outfit at the NHL Awards on Thursday evening.

Even though Nathan MacKinnon got the award over Matthews, his wild outfit still stole everyone's eyes, understandably so considering it was so different.

Matthews paired white sneakers and black dress pants with a unique jacket, drawing comparisons to Ricky from the Trailer Park Boys. His daring fashion choice sparked plenty of conversation and admiration throughout the evening. Matthews' mother, Ema Matthews, also made a fashionable appearance, complementing her son's bold look.
Matthews had already won the Rocket Richard Trophy after scoring 69 goals this season, but he was also up for the Ted Lindsay Award, a trophy given to the player voted most outstanding by his peers.

Matthews may have not won the award, but he still stole everyone's eyes with his eccentric to say the least, outfit.
With the awards wrapped up, we now move on to the draft, where teams will be fighting to get ahold of the best players possible to improve their team dynamic.
The draft is one of the most important events in the NHL, where certain decisions can completely change the entire dynamic of a team, for better or for worse.
