Two new names emerge for next team in Utah

The Coyotes will relocate to Utah, and the new ownership filed trademark applications for two new possible names for the team.

A few weeks after the NHL confirmed that Utah will get a team next season, the Smith Entertainment Group now has eight ideas for potential team names.

We already knew about the following ideas: Yetis, HC (Hockey Club), Blizzard, Fury, Outlaws and Venom, but two more were thrown in the hat.

"The full list is now Utah Mammoth, Utah Ice, Utah Yetis, Utah Venom, Utah Fury, Utah Blizzard, Utah Outlaws and Utah Hockey Club (or Utah HC).

Two more trademark applications were filed on Tuesday by Uyte LLC for seemingly potential team names:

Utah really looks ready to host an NHL team. Some fans have been waiting a long time for this, and it showed earlier today, when Coyotes' players landed in Utah to visit the new team installations:
