Andrew Cogliano has announced his retirement from the NHL after 17 seasons.

The 37-year-old, who won the Stanley Cup with the Colorado Avalanche in 2022, will now join the Avs' front office, focusing on player development and scouting and will primarily be with their AHL affiliate Colorado Eagles.

After 1,294 regular season games, Cogliano wraps up his career with 190 goals and 464 points. His journey included stints with the Edmonton Oilers, Anaheim Ducks, Dallas Stars, San Jose Sharks, and Colorado. He also notched 13 goals and 40 points in 131 playoff games, playing a key role in the Avalanche's 2022 Stanley Cup Victory.

Drafted by the Oilers in the first round of the 2005 NHL Draft, Cogliano started his career with an impressive 830-game ironman streak, the fourth-longest in NHL history. He spent his first four seasons with Edmonton, then moved to Anaheim for parts of eight seasons. After Anaheim, he joined the Stars for three seasons and then played 54 games with the Sharks before being traded to Colorado in 2022.

Cogliano played 172 regular-season games with the Avalanche, tallying 39 points, and added 11 points in 31 playoff games. He also helped the Stars reach the Stanley Cup Final in 2020 and was part of the Ducks' runs to the Western Conference Final in 2015 and 2017.
