As reported by PuckReporter on Instagram, Ville Heinola is expected to be out for 8-12 weeks after suffering a fractured ankle. He has been placed on the injured reserve.

Heinola suffered an ankle injury during the Jets preseason game against the Senators on Thursday. The 22-year-old defenseman was the Jets first round pick in 2019 and was hoping to earn a roster spot this season.
