Last night a huge matchup in the Eastern Conference took place between two in-state rivals. The game took a wild turn when referees failed to control the players on the ice leading to mass chaos.

Chaos Breaks Loose In Heated Rivalry Game

Late in a matchup between the Florida Panthers and Tampa Bay Lightning things went off the rails. With the Panthers up 9-2 already the Lightning were looking to take their frustrations out. In doing so they caused a massive brawl between the two sides.

As can be seen in the video only one referee really reacts to the situation in the beginning. Due to the referees not breaking things up immediately the players broke free and prolonged the fights between the two sides. Eventually, the referees would get things under control and hand out an insane amount of penalties.

Over 100 Penalty Minutes Handed Out As A Result Of Massive Brawl

After the referees got control of the situation it was time to hand out penalties. From the time this brawl happened to the end of the game 122 penalty minutes were handed out between the two teams. Of those 122 102 came as a result of the brawl with two 10-minute misconducts being handed out just over two minutes later.

With this brawl happening one has to wonder if any suspensions will be handed out to players involved. If not it still creates a massive storyline going into the next game between these two sides.
