These NHL analysts have just come out with a report that Connor Hellebuyck's chances at winning the Vezina Trophy are going in the wrong direction, despite his latest performances.

Hellebuyck Has Serious Competition For Vezina This Season

The Winnipeg Jets are having one of their best regular seasons in recent history, and it is thanks primarily to one man, Connor Hellebuyck. While the whole team is playing well defensively, Hellebuyck has been able to set some records and help his team to several wins, maintaining a 2.17 goals against average and a .925 save percentage.

He was clearly considered one of the front-runners for the Vezina trophy this year, however, analysts are now saying that he and Thatcher Demko are battling it out for consideration.

Hellebuyck Still Leading the Way Heading into All-Star Break

Despite the race getting tighter between Hellebuyck and Demko, it is clear that Hellebuyck is still leading the way when it comes to Vezina Odds. His game is just one step better right now than Demkos, and his play has been much more important to his team's success.
