This Edmonton Oilers media host has just suggested a massive blockbuster trade that would land another star on the roster, bolstering their chances at the Cup.

Oilers Media Host Suggests Blockbuster Trade for Lindholm

The Edmonton Oilers, after a rocky start to the year, have re-surfaced as a frontrunner for a potential long run into the post-season this year. They have seemingly turned around many of the issues that they struggled with at the beginning of the year. However, they can't be complacent when it comes to adding to the roster at the trade deadline.

Now, Bob Stauffer has suggested that they make a blockbuster trade for Elias Lindholm, the Calgary Flames star.

Bob Stauffer suggests a player the #LetsGoOilers should go all in on is Elias Lindholm from the #Flames

He throws the idea of the #Oilers 2024 1st round pick + Xavier Bourgault + Kulak for Lindholm at 50% retained (making him a 2.4 million cap hit)

The Flames are clearly becoming sellers this year and should be looking to get something done at the deadline. This deal would allow them to build up their future assets.

Lindholm Potentially Brings New Energy to Oilers

Lindholm has struggled in the last handful of games, there is no question about that. This is exactly why the Flames may be looking to get rid of him, especially as they look to the future. He could benefit from a change of scenery in Edmonton, getting him back to his 40-goal self.

As the trade deadline approaches, the Oilers should have their eyes on the centreman who would give them arguably the best center depth in the entire NHL. We will see if Ken Holland thinks this is a good deal or not.
