If you're a fan of Gabriel Vilardi, the Winnipeg Jets have released some good news.

Jets Provide Update on Gabe Vilardi's Return



Vilardi was injured very early in the season after getting tied up with Blake Lizotte of the LA Kings during a game on October 17th. The diagnosis was a torn MCL.

After a month on the sidelines, A Vilardi update was provided today.

#NHLJets coach Scott Arniel says there is talk about when the team hits the road next week, Gabriel Vilardi may be able to practice with the team (either in full or non-contact).

He's working on conditioning after missing the last month due to the sprained MCL.


While he has not yet joined his teammates, Vilardi was skating by himself today on a separate sheet of ice.


Gabe Vilardi Getting Close to Return after Torn MCL



Vilardi was expected to miss four to six weeks, and it looks like his return will come at the longer end of the estimate.

#NHLJets AC Scott Arniel says the goal is for Gabe Vilardi to be taking part in full team skates/trying some contact when the team hits the road next week in Florida. Still no specific timeline for return to game action. Sure seems like will be on tail end of 4-6 week range.
