The Washington Capitals will officially relocate out of the District of Columbia and move to a new state.

Capitals Relocating To Alexandria Virginia For New Arena

It was just announced by Washington ABC7 News that the Capitals will be relocating for their new arena that is being built in Alexandria, Virginia.

The @Capitals and the @WashWizards are preparing to say goodbye D.C., Hello Alexandria, Virginia.

Sources tell @7NewsDC that there will be a major announcement tomorrow morning at Potomac Yard.

The belief is that it will be about the construction of a new arena.

The Capitals will move alongside the Washington Wizards of the NBA. An official announcement is expected for tomorrow morning.
