During the game, Canucks defenceman gave Red Wings promising forward a blatant hit in the head causing chaos to endure. Forward Alex Debrincat and Defenceman Ian Cole dropped the mitts in response to the hit.

After meeting with the NHL Player's Safety Association, Nikita was given a 2 game suspension following an illegal check to the head on Red Wings forward Lucas Raymond.
Good on the NHL for giving further disciplianary action as hits like these have been far too common lately across the National Hockey League.
