According to multiple sources, Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Rodion Amirov has passed away at the age of 21.

Amirov Gone Too Soon

Former 15th overall pick Rodion Amirov has passed away. He was one of the Leafs top rated prospects when he was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2021. He fought valiantly for 2 years against the terrible disease.

Amirov Always Positive Despite Diagnosis

According to his agent and those that were around Amirov throughout his fight he always stayed positive during his fight against the brain tumor. He refused to speak in a negative way and was determined to find a way to enjoy every day.
