The San Jose Sharks were the worst team in the NHL in 2023-24, and while the front office is safe, Head Coach David Quinn couldn't survive the struggles.
In two seasons in charge of the San Jose Sharks, David Quinn led the team to a 7th and 8th place finish in the Pacific Division, and now, according to TSN's Chris Johnston, he is done with the Sharks.
Quinn's tenure in San Jose comes after three seasons in charge of the New York Rangers where they would miss the playoffs twice in that time, so it's safe to say his job opportunities may be limited going forward.
This situation certainly wasn't easy on him however, as Quinn inherited one of the worst rosters in the NHL on a team that was clearly tanking, but for now, they will be on the search for another name to lead this struggling organization going forward as they look to build with their talented young future players.
