The Ottawa Senators deserve plenty of criticism for the way they've played in 2023-24, and no player has earned more than Tim Stutzle, who has become renowned as one of, if not the biggest diver in the NHL.

Tim Stutzle called out by former Senator Bobby Ryan

The reputation has been building for a few years now, but on social media, Stutzle has become known as the biggest diver in the league.
Recently, a fan called him out on this, saying that he's soft and that the Senators should move on from the young winger.
"Stützle is too soft to ever see a 2nd round in the playoff," wrote the fan. "Some players like you elevate in the playoffs, Stützle will get crushed. Sens need to start looking elsewhere."

Then, to the surprise of everyone, former Ottawa Senators winger Bobby Ryan chimed in, agreeing with the massive critique of one of the Senators only star players.
Agreed.

Do the Senators need to move Tim Stutzle?

While the criticism is entirely warranted, Stutzle has been a consistent point producer for the Senators in his time with the team, so while he brings plenty of negativity and softness to the team, he's also a fantastically skilled player.
It's tough to argue with Ryan and this fan, as there have been countless examples in the past few years of him diving at making a fool of himself, so hopefully this type of criticism is taken on board and he can take a step forward as a player without embellishing so much.
