As the team announced their roster one by one, an opening night tradition, they left one major omission. The player in question? None other than Carey Price. Price, of course, has not played hockey in well over a year and his career as a player is all but over due to injuries.
However, this did not stop the team from announcing Price as part of their roster last year on opening night. The fact that the team did not honor Price made many fans angry, but they did make up for it somewhat later as they showed the former goalie on Bell Center's jumbotron.
