Mariah Fujimagari made history today as she became the first woman in Canucks franchise history to earn a win as a goalie.

Fujimagari Earns Historic Victory

Fujimagari got the start today for the ECHL's Kalamazoo Wings in their preseason game.

She is the first female goaltender to earn a win in any game in Kalamazoo Wings history. She signed a PTO with the wings this offseason and has been impressive in training camp, including this start in preseason.

The 29-year-old goalie is well traveled, having played pro hockey in Sweden and Slovakia as well as in North America. If she earns a regular contract from the Wings it would make her the first female player in league history.
