Insider makes a puzzling comment on the future of Leon Draisaitl in Edmonton

This offseason the Edmonton Oilers have a major decision to make regarding Leon Draisaitl. In a new interview, Chris Johnston spoke about a rumor connecting Leon Draisaitl to a trade with the San Jose Sharks. In his segment, Chris Johnston denied that a trade to the San Jose Sharks was likely but left the situation open-ended.

The language used by Chris Johnston set off some alarm bells amongst fans and media. Saying that Leon Draisaitl is not going to San Jose does not deny a trade elsewhere is impossible. This has started even more rumors that the Oilers are exploring a trade involving Leon Draisaitl this summer.
