McDavid Opens Up

Here's what the Oilers' captain revealed:
"This year was different in the sense that our belief was stronger. We competed with Vegas. We gave them a series.

The Colorado series was not all that close, and it's hard for us to look around the room and say, 'We've got to do this and that' when they were just the better team.

We look back at that Vegas series, and it's really the small, little moments. The small, little things that make all the difference in the world. We felt like whoever won that series was going to have a great opportunity to keep moving on in what was a little bit of a strange playoffs with big teams going out early.

It was just disappointing because the belief was there, and it was so high. We felt like the series was close, that we had a real chance."

Bound to Win

It's not a secret: the Oilers are a constant threat. With McDavid and Draisaitl, it looks like they could win the Stanley Cup anytime now.
They were unlucky in the last years with injuries during crucial moments of the playoffs.
This year was a tough loss. The Oilers had made moves to get better at the deadline but couldn't rally against the champions.
McDavid will surely be looking to push his limits even further in the coming season to finally achieve his ultimate goal: bringing the Stanley Cup back to Edmonton.
