The Edmonton Oilers made a major shakeup to their front office today.

Edmonton Hires Rick Pracey

The Edmonton Oilers have announced that they have hired Rick Pracey as their new Director of Amateur Scouting.
Pracey had most recently served as an Amateur Scout for the Philadelphia Flyers from 2014-15 to 2022-23. He was also previously the Director of Amateur Scouting for the Colorado Avalanche from 2008 until 2014. In this time he helped bring in players such as Nathan MacKinnon, Matt Duchene, Gabriel Landeskog, and Ryan O'Reilly through the draft.

Oilers Move On From Tyler Wright

In a corresponding move, they have also decided to mutually part ways with Tyler Wright who was their Director of Player Personnel and Amateur Scouting. He had served as the Director of Amateur Scouting since 2019 for the team. He had also recently been given the title of Director of Player Personnel.
