BREAKING: Jack Campbell's Fate Is Now Known

The Oilers placed goalie Jack Campbell on waivers for purpose of reassignment to the Bakersfield Condors of the AHL.

Campbell has had a rough start to his Oilers career and is not living up to his $5 million cap hit. Through five games started this season, Campbell has just one win and brutal stats behind that.

Campbell has a 4.50 goals against average with a 0.873% save percentage, this is year two of a five year deal that Campbell signed. The contract is not looking good for the Oilers as Campbell has not been able to hold an above 0.900 save percentage.

Calvin Pickard has been called up to replace Campbell for the time being. The Oilers are hoping this stint in the AHL is exactly what Campbell needs to get his game back in order.
