Corey Perry finally rejoined the NHL yesterday when the Edmonton Oilers agreed to a one-year deal with the veteran forward for the remainder of the season.
Perry Speaks To Media Following Contract Signing With Oilers
Today the team held a press conference with Perry, giving him the opportunity to address the media for the first time since his contract was terminated by the Chicago Blackhawks last year. During the event, Perry addressed the contract termination with Chicago and stressed his personal emphasis on making things right and making himself a better and healthier person.
Fans seemed to be happy with the press conference as the Oilers continue to win. There is a growing excitement in Edmonton that the team could be legitimate Cup contenders this year, especially with the addition of Perry.
That Corey Perry presser was so good. He looks happy and healthy and raring to go. We might have just stole a very big upgrade from the league
