The NHL's Department of player safety announced a suspension due to a hit from one of last night's games.

Clifton Suspended After Dirty His On First Overall Pick

Today it was announced that Connor Clifton of the Buffalo Sabres has been suspended two games for a hit to the head on Devils captain Nico Hischier.
Buffalo's Connor Clifton has been suspended for two games for an Illegal Check to the Head of New Jersey's Nico Hischier.

Clifton received a game misconduct for the hit during the game. This came as a major disappointment to him because he had hundreds of family and friends in attendance.
