During last night's Blackhawks-Golden Knights game, Bedard broke his first-ever NHL record after he scored in the first period.

Bedard Becomes First 18-Year-Old to Score in Both of First Two Games Against Previous Stanley Cup Champion Team

Last night, the Chicago Blackhawks took on the Las Vegas Golden Knights for the second time this season. Connor Bedard made his mark in the first period, scoring on a nice breakaway after a nifty feed from Nick Foligno.

The goal marked Bedard's first-ever NHL record, as he was the first 18-year-old to score in both of his first two games against the previous year's Stanley Cup Champion.

Connor Bedard scored his second goal in as many meetings against the defending #StanleyCup champions – a feat never before achieved by an 18-year-old.

Bedard Performing Well Despite the Pressure and Attention

Connor Bedard has been facing an immense amount of pressure since he was drafted by the Blackhawks first overall. Despite this, he has had a pretty good start to the year. He has scored 3 goals and added 2 assists for 5 points in his first 8 games, which may not be the pace some expected, but is plenty as the young star gets acclimated to the NHL.

Bedard has been open about loving the attention he is getting from living out his NHL dream.

An honest Connor Bedard on all the attention he gets: «It's been pretty wild. Ever since before camp-ish, it's been crazy. But it's not something I look at as a negative at all. I'm really grateful to be in the position I am and there's very few people that get that opportunity, get to be as lucky. I'm looking at it like that. I'm living out a dream and I feel very fortunate for that. But it is crazy and busy. I'm human too; I can get a little tired. But it's been good and I'm just enjoying it.» #Blackhawks
