The Jets are facing some serious uncertainty with regards to their future roster, given they have so many contracts expiring soon. However, we now know who is the most likely candidate to be first out of Winnipeg.

Jet's Expiring Roster: Seven Pending Unrestricted Free Agents

The Jets have 7 pending UFAs, so something will have to give after this season. Plenty of rumors circulated this offseason that Mark Scheifele and Connor Hellebuyck wanted out, however, nothing has materialized as of yet.

The Quote On Who Will Be Going First: Connor Hellebuyck or Mark Scheifele?

Now, reports of who is likely to be gone first have come to light.

Scheifele First to Go: A Report From A Winnipeg Jets Insider

Logistically, it makes sense that Scheifele would be the first of the two to be traded. It's much harder to trade a goaltender in the NHL, and Scheifele is a top-end talent who would provide another scoring option for many teams who are in need of an additional threat.

Either way, it seems like Cheveldayoff is giving his best efforts to keep Scheifele and Hellebuyck engaged in the Jets' upcoming season.
