Tonight a trade has been completed between two Western Conference foes.
Western Conference Trade Goes Down
The Vancouver Canucks have announced they completed a trade with the San Jose Sharks. The Sharks will get young forward Jack Studnicka while the Canucks get 23-year-old defenseman Nick Cicek and a 6th-round pick.
General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that the #Canucks have acquired D Nick Cicek and a sixth-round pick in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft from the San Jose Sharks in exchange for F Jack Studnicka.

Both players are fringe NHL players with stints at the NHL level. Studnicka has more NHL experience which is likely why the 6th round pick heads to the Canucks with Cicek.
Both players will look to use their fresh start to carve out a long-term NHL role.
