As reported by Darren Dreger on X, the International Ice Hockey Federation has implemented a new rule requiring neck guards for players in the World Junior Championship and U-18 competition.

Dreger also noted that a similar ruling for the World Championship is still under consideration.
"The @IIHFHockey has agreed to make neck protection mandatory for the World Junior Hockey championship and the Men's U18 championship. A final decision still has to be made on the Men's and Women's World Hockey Championships."
