The Blackhawks have had a tough season. Injuries, bad luck, and contract terminations have lead the team on a steady decline into last place in the entire league. Now they are without another defenseman after he was injured in practice.
Louis Crevier, a 22-year-old defenseman that has played 20 games for the Blackhawks this season was forced to leave practice early this afternoon. The hulking 6'8" blueliner appeared to take a puck to the face on a shot from fellow Hawks rookie Connor Bedard before he hurried off the ice.
Crevier has 3 assists in his young NHL career so far. He is more known for his physical presence than his scoring touch as he stands at 6'8" and weights 228 pounds. Luckily, it seems as though the injury was rather minor as a later update confirmed that there was no serious damage.
