The night ended with the Leafs dropping their fourth and final game of the season against the Bruins. With the loss, the Leafs move to 0-2-2 on the season with their hated rival. Emotions boiled over at the end of the contest as Leafs and Bruins players alike chose to go at each other. Notably, Max Domi was at the center of all of this. He has been criticized at times this season for not living up to his reputation this year with his new club.
This was a relatively ordinary encounter as scrums like these are commonplace in the NHL, especially in rivalry games. However, this one had a little extra spice.
The Bruins are famous for their lethal goaltending duo of Linus Ullmark and Jeremy Swayman. While the netminders are known for their elite level of play, they also have a lot of personality. This showed last night as Swayman tried to get Woll to join him for a fight as the rest of their teammates brawled away.
Unfortunately for the bruins netminder, Woll elected to ignore him. However, Swayman got the last laugh as the Bruins held on to complete the 4-1 victory.
