Preseason is often times when players will try and prove their toughness in order to make a roster spot or show the rest of the league what they have. The Bruins-Flyers game was no exception.

Players Square Up After Stepping Out of the Box

In the Bruins-Flyers' preseason game, an insane fight broke out between Jakub Lauko and Louie Belpedio as they left the penalty box. Even though it looked like Belpedio might have won the fight, sending Lauko to a knee, it was a pretty even bout that could have continued if the refs didn't step in.

Blepedio and Lauko Vying For NHL Roster Spots

Both players are currently battling for roster spots on their respective teams. Lauko is a young, 23-year-old centreman who was able to get into 23 games last season. He was selected in the 3rd round in 2018 by the Bruins and was able to score 7 points last season.
Belpedio is older (27) and has yet to earn a consistent spot in the NHL. He has played in just 4 games over the past 3 seasons, all with the Minnesota Wild. He might have a shot with the Flyers this year if their injuries leave him an opening.
