Martin Necas is expected to be moved this off-season, and along with several other teams, the Winnipeg Jets have now reportedly shown interest.

The Winnipeg Jets had another stellar regular season in 2023-24, but even after all the expectations, they fell short in the playoffs, losing in short order to the division rival Colorado Avalanche. Now, big changes are expected with a veteran or two potentially moved, and after the recent news surrounding Rutger McGroarty, it could come soon.
Now, TSN's Chris Johnston has name dropped a very intriguing player, linking the Jets to Carolina Hurricanes RFA Martin Necas.
Chris Johnston on his show mentions the Winnipeg Jets as a team that has shown interest in Martin Necas.

Necas is a 25-year-old RFA coming off of a 24G, 29A regular season for Carolina. 9 points in 11 playoff games.

Thoughts, #NHLJets fans? 👇
With the Hurricanes looking for proven veterans, this may be a situation where the team use a draft pick or two and veteran Nik Ehlers to acquire a piece of the future, and in Necas, they would be getting a star. They are reportedly interested along with the likes of Calgary, Anaheim, Montreal and many other teams, so they will need to put up a big offer to make it happen, but even so, this would be a very intriguing move for Winnipeg.
