BREAKING: Winnipeg Jets Call Up Enforcer Forward Hours Before Today's Game
The Winnipeg Jets have made a surprising move by calling up forward Jeffrey Viel just mere hours before today's game.
Winnipeg Jets Call Up Viel
Ahead of today's rivalry game against the Minnesota Wild, the Winnipeg Jets placed David Gustafsson on the IR and called up Jeffrey Viel.
TRANSACTIONS: The #NHLJets have placed F - David Gustafsson on injured reserve and recalled F - Jeffrey Viel from the Manitoba Moose (AHL) under emergency conditions.
Viel has spent the entire season with the Manitoba Moose and has racked up 70 PIMs in 24 games. Viel will bring a heavy physical presence today and will go out and throw the body around.
The Jets are set to face off against the Wild at 1 PM CST. The Jets are on the second half of a back-to-back with the Wild and will look to bring home their second victory in as many days.
