Earlier today, it was announced that the Washington Capitals have been given the green light with forward Evgeni Kuznetsov to resume play after being in the NHL's Player Assistance program. After a few hours go by, it was announced by insider's that he would be placed on waivers by the Capitals.
Kuznetsov makes carries a 8 million dollar cap hit for another few seasons, and would be an expensive add for teams, something that seems unlikely of a claim.
