Today during an afternoon game between the Vegas Golden Knights and Philadelphia Flyers has led to a likely suspension.

Vegas Forward Lays Down A Dirty Hit

In the second period of the game between Vegas and Philadelphia Golden Knights forward Chandler Stephenson came in with a very late cross-check after the whistle.

Chandler Stephenson was given a five-minute major and a misconduct for this cross-check on Garnet Hathaway.

The play led to a massive scrum and a five minute major along with an ejection for Stephenson. This play has also led many to wonder if Stephenson will face further discipline.

Major Suspension Coming For Stephenson?

Fan reaction seemed to agree that the hit was dirty and has no place in today's game.

Here's why Chandler Stephenson was given a game misconduct and major penalty. Very late (and pretty dirty) crosscheck after the whistle.

Some fans are not so convinced though that the cross-check was to a dangerous area.

The NHL should suspend Chandler Stephenson for this clear cross-check to the head of Garnet Hathaway. This is atrocious and should not be tolerated!

This fan through their sarcasm believes the play was embellished and was just a regular cross-check to the chest. Either way, Stephenson will likely have a meeting with the league. He will face at least a fine and a possible suspension.

What do you think though? Is this a suspendable hit?
