During the first period of last night's game between the Predators and Canucks, Michael McCarron had a massive hit on Casey DeSmith that he has been fined for.
The Vancouver Canucks are currently down to their backup goalie in Casey DeSmith after Thatcher Demko went down with an injury. Predators forward Michael McCarron tried to take DeSmith out last night with this hit.Michael McCarron runs over Casey DeSmith behind the Vancouver net.

The NHL Department of Player Safety just announced that McCarron has been fined for his hit on DeSmith
Nashville's Michael McCarron has been fined $2,000 for goalie interference on Vancouver's Casey DeSmith.
DeSmith was fortunately no worse for wear and was able to backstop the Canucks to a victory going up 2-1 in their series.
