The Toronto Maple Leafs have been linked to blockbuster trades all summer long, and while most surround star winger William Nylander, there's a potential for them to make several different moves.

An interesting trade candidate

If they are to make a trade, General Manager Brad Treliving has made it clear that it will be a move to sure up their defence, and unsurprisingly, there's plenty of potential targets out there.
One team that has now come up is the St. Louis Blues, as GM Doug Armstrong was reportedly in attendance as the Maple Leafs played host to Connor Bedard and the exciting young Blackhawks.

A top pair defenseman coming back?

While both of these teams are around the salary cap right now, there's still the pieces there to make a trade, and with an eye on the blue line, all eyes now shift to Colton Parayko.
The 30-year old has been one of the league's most consistent defenseman for quite some time now, and if the Leafs are looking to give Morgan Rielly a partner on the top pairing, this may be the move to make, but either way, it appears something could be happening very soon in Toronto.
