Just after the final whistle sounded, tempers flared and fists started flying as Coyotes and Rangers players greeted each other for a not-so-friendly postgame discussion. While confrontations like these are relatively common, this one was particularly interesting as Rangers goalie Igor Shesterkin got involved.
The esteemed goaltender went after Coyotes center Barrett Hayton, eventually pinning him to the back boards. As this was happening everyone else on both sides picked a dance partner as well. Mika Zibanejad took on Sean Durzi away from the scrum but that fight quickly fizzled out as Durzi's jersey got stuck on his head. Shesterkin has been known to be a little feisty at times but it is rare to see him be this aggressive. The Coyotes and Rangers will face off again on March 30th.
