2018 Hockey Canada Investigation continues

As the 2023-24 NHL season approaches, some teams have been left in the dark as to the potential future of key players. This stems from the investigation into Hockey Canada's 2018 World Junior Championship team that included star NHL players such as Jordan Kyrou and Cale Makar.
Notably, the investigation is ongoing and while many of the players from that team have made public statements about it, others have not. Very little has been officially disclosed to this point but it is certainly possible that some of the players involved in the 2018 incident may still be in the NHL.

The Flyers appear to be uncertain about the future of the investigation

The Flyers have two players expected to make their opening night roster who were on that 2018 team, Victor Mete, and Carter Hart. When addressing the media this morning, Danny Briere discussed the uncertainty surrounding the investigation without naming any players specifically.
It sounds like NHL teams may not know much more about this than the public does. In any case, it will certainly be interesting to see what comes of the investigation, and when those results will be known to NHL clubs and their fanbases.
