One former Jets defenseman got himself into serious trouble over the weekend. Today, the Department of Player Safety announced their punishment for him.

Kulikov Suspended Two Games For Hit On Lightning Player

Florida Panthers defenseman Dmitry Kulikov was ejected over the weekend as he got a game misconduct for a hit to the head of Lightning forward Conor Sheary. The play itself was somewhat controversial due to Sheary being just 5'9" and Kulikov being 6'1".
This was likely a factor in the Department of Player Safety's decision as they gave him a smaller, two-game suspension for the hit.
Florida's Dmitry Kulikov has been suspended for two games for an illegal check to the head on Tampa Bay's Conor Sheary.

Kulikov has played in over 900 career NHL games including 170 for the Winnipeg Jets between 2017-2020.
