There's a chance that Edmonton Oilers forward Evander Kane could be traded this summer.

NHL insider Elliotte Friedman shared on the 32 Thoughts podcast that Kane's name has come up in trade rumors as the Oilers face a cap crunch.
There were rumors that they had asked Evander Kane to waive his no-move clause.

This potential trade talk seems to be tied to the Oilers' efforts to retain their pending free agents. It appears they might need to move Kane's $5.125 million cap hit to free up space.
Jeff Jackson said they are trying to sign all of their UFAs and they are working at it.

Kane had a rough Stanley Cup playoff run, hampered by injuries, which might make other teams hesitant to take on his significant cap hit, especially considering his off-ice history.
There's been chatter that the @EdmontonOilers will be shopping Evander Kane this summer. He's had some bad injuries and has not been able to have the same impact he was having in 2021/2021.
