The majority of Edmonton Oilers' fans were happy to see the organization hire the hockey legend Paul Coffey as assistant-coach earlier this season. However, no one could've predicted that such an incident would occur.
In last night's game, the first between the Oilers and the Canucks in Vancouver, it was reported that Coffey did a racist hand gesture to a fan who wore a turban.
As of now, there are no video of the gesture available, but with all the cameras in the building, it shouldn't be too long before we get to see what happened.
Unfortunately, this wasn't Coffey's first use of racial gestures. Back in 2014, he received a game misconduct for using "discriminatory slur" and ended up being suspended for three games.
