Today NHL insider and Oilers reporter Jason Gregor has confirmed Evander Kane is dealing with an injury. According to Gregor Kane missed practice recently and is not as explosive as he has been earlier in the year.





While Kane is still playing his physical brand of hockey and his offense numbers are solid he could need a couple of games off.

Should The Oilers Shut Down Kane?

Evander Kane in his last 10 games has 7 points in total. He is however a minus 2 during that span. His ice time has stayed consistent regardless of any potential injury.

The Oilers could think about holding out Kane for a game or two eventually. However, with their current massive win streak changing things might not be wise.
