BREAKING: Two Star Players from the Boston Bruins Out Long-Term

The Bruins' red-hot season has hit a massive snag, as they have just been dealt a major setback. It was announced that Charlie McAvoy and Pavel Zazha would be placed on Injured Reserve today, as they will be out long-term.

The Bruins have placed Charlie McAvoy and Pavel Zacha on injured reserve.

Boston has recalled Patrick Brown from Providence and recalled Parker Wotherspoon from Providence on an emergency basis.

This is terrible news for the Bruins. McAvoy is one of their top defenders, with 17 points in 21 games. Likewise, Zacha has steadily contributed to the Bruins' offence, recording 19 points in 26 games.

Losing both for the immediate future will be a tricky challenge for the Bruins to overcome offensively, and will require other players to step up into depth scoring roles.
