Fans accuse Refs of rigging the game in favour of Mcdavid after video emerges online

The Edmonton Oilers came out with their 12th straight win over the Seattle Kraken on Thursday, but the game unsurprisingly hasn't come without controversy.

Officials helping Connor McDavid?

While it's no shock that the officials call the game in favour of the league's superstars, a video has emerged that makes it way too obvious.

In the video, we can see that the official is ready to make a call for a penalty, but given that it's the Oilers captain, he quickly puts his arm back down and makes no call.

Dreadful officiating around the league

Officials can't get every call right, and sometimes teams and their fans will feel hard done by with some calls, but given how consistently this type of thing happens, it's easy to see where that frustration comes from.

The Oilers would ultimately go on to beat the Kraken in a competitive matchup, and while this may not have made much difference at the time, these type of calls keep adding up, and it's something the NHL must address.
