The Seattle Kraken and Edmonton Oilers are building quite the Pacific Division rivalry, and on Thursday, things unsurprisingly got very physical.
During the game, Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid was given slashing and roughing penalties, and it became very clear that the Kraken weren't happy with him.
When Yanni Gourde tried his best to get him to fight, it unsurprisingly failed, and as a result, he would ultimately do this to star defenseman Mattias Ekholm;
Now, it appears the NHL will be getting involved, as Oilers reporter Frank Seravalli reveals that Gourde will have a hearing with the NHL's DoPS.
The NHL's disciplining of players has been known to be incredibly inconsistent over the past few years, so it's unclear what will become of the hearing, but right now it could lean towards a suspension for the star forward.
