This contract would make the 2018 1st overall pick the 3rd highest paid defenseman in NHL history behind only Erik Karlsson and Drew Doughty.
Dahlin finished top ten in Norris voting last season and scored 73 points in 78 games. This extension will be a great piece of work for the Sabres as it will lock down their franchise defenseman till the 2030s.
