The Bruins have had a tumultuous season, having played at a very high level while facing controversy with some of their players. One such player has now officially been dealt with by the team.

Milan Lucic On Indefinite Leave Amid Controversy

Veteran Bruins left-winger Milan Lucic was under fire recently as court proceedings began regarding domestic assault charges. He was expected to plead not guilty to physical violence against his wife, but the case has been dropped due to a lack of witnesses and admissible evidence.
"JUST IN: Prosecutors dropped their case against Boston Bruins veteran Milan Lucic today, after revealing that his wife declined to testify and a judge ruled that her 911 call was inadmissible."
Despite the case being dropped, the team decided against reinstating him, opting to keep him out for rehabilitation.
"Bruins statement:
«Milan Lucic will remain on indefinite leave from the organization for the remainder of the 2023-24 season. The Boston Bruins organization supports Milan and his family as he continues his personal rehabilitation.»
Lucic is on a one-year deal"
Despite playing over 1,300 games, he is currently signed to a one-year contract. It remains unclear if this 35-year-old will be able to rejoin the NHL in the future.
