Coyotes Owner Unveils Long-Term Plan for the Franchise

The Coyotes had their arena plan rejected yesterday by the people of Tempe and their future suddenly became more clouded.

With this, the NHL and the Coyotes owner, Alex Meruelo, want to put any rumors to bed. Meruelo had a press conference today where he discussed the future of the team and what he said was quite surprising.

With a desire to stay in the Grand Canyon State, Meruelo has done his best at putting any relocation rumors to rest but this will likely not work.

It will be very difficult for the Coyotes to find a city willing to let them build an arena worth over $2 billion and as the people of Tempe showed, not everybody will be in favor of doing this.

We could be witnessing the end of the Arizona Coyotes but one thing for sure is that Meruelo will do his best to keep the franchise in Arizona.
