The Arizona Coyotes are in danger of relocating and a top insider has revealed where to and when they will move.
Seravalli Drops Coyotes Relocation Bombshell
In a recent article for Daily Faceoff, Frank Seravalli made 32 predictions for the upcoming season. One of these predictions seems more notable than the rest: where the Coyotes will relocate to and when they will do so.
"Stop us if you've heard this before: The NHL will announce in April that the Arizona Coyotes are relocating to Houston for the 2024-25 season. Commissioner Gary Bettman seemed to signal February is a looming deadline for the Coyotes to announce arena plans. They can't stay at Mullett Arena forever, and Houston just upgraded its ice plant in Toyota Center as part of a $30 million renovation. Phoenix will then rise to the top of expansion possibilities � as there is no doubt the NHL loves a market that needs a fresh start." - Frank Seravalli
Houston would be an interesting location for the Coyotes but there are still other valid options like Quebec City, Atlanta, and Salt Lake City.
However if the Coyotes relocate for the 2024-25 season, Houston would provide a spot worthy of having an NHL team immediately and would be able to have them the soonest.
It would put an end to the Arizona saga for now but if we know one thing about Gary Bettman, he will do everything in his power to keep the Coyotes in Arizona.
