Head Coach Punished By The NHL for Blasting Referees

The NHL have been stern and thus far consistent in their punishments for things happening on the ice this season, and now, they've set a major precedent for 'unprofessional conduct'.

After disagreeing with a recent call in their game against the Pittsburgh Penguins, Greg Cronin of the Anaheim Ducks would blow up at the officials in a move that made headlines around the league.
The NHL has fined #NHLDucks coach Greg Cronin $25,000 for "unprofessional conduct directed at the officials."

He was ejected from Monday's game in Pittsburgh after the Ducks had a goal overturned for goalie interference.
While there are those out there that would argue this just protects officials further from criticism, there's no doubting that professional conduct should still remain at all times, so the hope is that this fine will prevent that from happening in the future.
Anaheim Ducks head coach Greg Cronin fined $25,000.
Cronin was indeed ejected by the officials after the blowup, but now with such a precedent set, it's on the NHL to continue being consistent until this type of conduct isn't seen on the ice from players or coaches.
